Statistical Support

It is the objective of SBR to maintain and develop a high statistical standard within the Danish Cancer Society, and to ensure that all projects utilize state-of-the-art methods.

Therefore, statisticians from SBR provide support to researchers within the Danish Cancer Society at all stages of the research project. This includes planning studies and designing experiments, formal definition of study hypothesis, optimal choice of study design and sample size determination, statistical modeling, and interpretation and presentation of results. Part of this process is data management in order to obtain reliable data and meaningful inference, and SBR have extensive knowledge on the Danish registries used in health research.
